Station Charity Fundraiser Smashes Target By £40,000

We set ourselves an ambitious target for this year's charity fundraiser. You smashed it by £40,000. We are completely overwhelmed.

Over the course of 12 hours of live broadcasting, listeners called in with donations, bid in our live auction, and turned up in their thousands to sponsored events across the region.

"This community never ceases to amaze me," said breakfast presenter Jamie Holloway, visibly emotional during the final tally announcement. "You are genuinely the best in the world."
